Everything you need to know
Welcome – Dear Friend, as you visit this website you should know that whatever your background you are most welcome to come and see us, join us for worship and other events or just admire the Neo-Gothic architecture of our beautiful church.
Choir – Organ music and choir singing are particularly dear to our tradition and have a prominent role in our Sunday liturgy. Given the acoustic qualities of our church, we often hold choir concerts by choirs coming from all over Birmingham, the UK and abroad.
Opening Times – Apart from special events advertised on this website, at present our only regular opening times are for our regular weekly services: on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for our traditional main Mass and at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday in our Church Hall for our mult-media family Mass.
Accessibility – Step-free access to the church is available through the gate in the railings between the church and 120 Stanhope Street leading to the cloister door.
Children – We welcome children in our Church.
Hearing Aid Users – We have an induction loop; to receive sound from it, switch your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position.
Toilets – Toilets, including one adapted for wheelchair users, are available.
Eucharistic Hospitality – If you are a regular member of another church and receive communion in that church, you are invited to receive communion here.
Refreshments – On Sundays please join us for refreshments in St Patrick’s Room after the service, if we are able to provide these (depending on Covid-19). Tea, coffee and biscuits are available.
Mobile Phones – Please silence any mobile phones during services in church.
